Toy Story 5 Teaser Sets The Beloved Duo Versus a Tablet Computer
Exactly 30 years after the first Toy Story film debuted, launching Pixar as a major film company and introducing viewers to beloved figures like Woody (the actor) and the space ranger (the voice talent), who are now famous worldwide.
In 2026, the next chapter is scheduled for release. The initial preview for Toy Story 5 landed this week, providing a glimpse into the plot but leaving fans curious how it will resolve the ending of Toy Story 4.
The Latest Addition: A Frog-Shaped Tablet Frightens the Toys
In the teaser reveals the young girl â who received Andy's toys when he left for college â getting a brand new toy, one that terrifies the familiar toy group. She gets her first tablet computer, and she is excited about it.
Presumably, the amphibian-inspired device will come to life just like the rest of her playthings. However, the toys seem to view it as a danger coming to replace them, which it probably is.
The Cowboy's Comeback: Unanswered Questions from Toy Story 4
One thing the teaser avoids is why Woody is returned with his friends in Bonnie's room. The end of Toy Story 4 depicted him embark on a new adventure with the shepherdess (the actress), traveling with a fair and helping prize toys find good homes.
Certainly, the filmmakers will explain the aftermath of Toy Story 4 in the movie. Witnessing him appear in Bonnie's room unexpectedly is a little strange, though. It also raises questions whether his partner will have returned with Woody. And what about the stuntman toy (the star)?
Continuity from the Previous Film
Fortunately, some aspects are continuing from the earlier movie. The last thing Woody did before departing for his fresh path was pass his symbol of authority to the cowgirl (the voice actor), leaving her in charge of Bonnie's bedroom. The clip displays the badge pinned to her shirt.
Hopefully she is remains the key figure among the group.
